We are the Dayton Area Wild Ones, a regional chapter of Wild Ones, a national organization with local chapters that teach about the benefits of using native plants to create natural landscapes. Our members come from many areas in the Greater Dayton area. For more information about the Wild Ones national organization, visit their website.
Our chapter is one of several in the state of Ohio and one of more than 60 in the country. We meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in various locations and invite you to attend any of the scheduled programs. Look at our Programs & Events page for information on upcoming programs, and see the Projects page to find events like work on native plant demonstration gardens, Project Pollinator Pack, and our Weed Ordinance Project.
The primary goal of the Dayton Area Wild Ones is to educate and support homeowners as they learn and develop their own native landscapes. We also work within our local communities to educate the public and enhance public spaces.
We do this through:
- Monthly gatherings, open to all
- Local community projects
Visit our Programs & Events page to see some of our recent activities.
